Adutwum accepts NPP primaries outcome, congratulates Dr Bawumia

Kumasi, Feb. 1, GNA – Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, a candidate in the recently concluded presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has formally accepted the results and extended his congratulations to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on his election as the party’s flagbearer. 

In a statement issued in Kumasi, Dr Adutwum described the electoral process as credible and reflective of the confidence delegates have in Dr Bawumia.  

He commended the participation of delegates across the country and acknowledged their decisive expression of will. 

He noted that Dr Bawumia’s victory underscores the trust reposed in him by the party’s delegates, adding that he fully respects the outcome of the primaries. 

Dr Adutwum reaffirmed his commitment to promoting unity within the NPP and pledged his support to the newly elected flagbearer as the party begins preparations for the 2028 general elections. 

 He emphasised the importance of collective effort and cohesion to advance the party’s vision and values. 

“I wish Dr Mahamudu Bawumia every success and pledge my support as we work collectively to advance the vision and values of the New Patriotic Party and secure a prosperous future for Ghana,” the statement said.
