Pastor cautions Christians against idling, laziness in 2026

Abesim (Bono), Jan. 25, GNA-Pastor Paul Adu-Agyei, the Abesim District Pastor of the Deeper Life Bible Church, has encouraged Christians to be engaged in economic venture, to attract God’s blessings, wealth and prosperity in 2026.

He emphasised that God frowned at idling, saying engaging in any viable economic enterprise “with the little we have will accordingly pave the way for God to bless the work of our hands”.

Pastor Adu-Agyei gave the advice in an exhortation to run-off the 2026 “Covenant Service” of the church at Abesim, near Sunyani.

In the month of January each year, Pastor Dr William F Kumuyi, the founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) took the church through the covenant service for the congregation to renew their covenant with God.

The service offers for all branches of the church worldwide to listen to live sermons of Dr Kumuyi, transmitted, a renowned teacher of the word, tele-evangelist and convener of the Global Kumuyi Crusade (GCK), from the Church’s headquarters in Nigeria via satellite.

Pastor Adu-Agyei said though God had promised “blessing His children and servants with riches and wealth,” until Christians obeyed and engaged in viable economic activities, those promised blessings could be a mirage.

Referencing Jeremiah 29 verse I1, he urged Christians to “begin something with the little we have to create the avenue for God to bless us.”

Nonetheless, Pastor Adu-Agyei said Christians could experience all-year blessings only if they adhered to biblical principles and doctrines as obeying the voice of God and living holy and righteous life that automatically brought heavenly prosperity.

He cautioned Christians against engaging in worldliness and the attendant amusements, saying that attracted God’s displeasure and judgment.
