Takoradi, Jan. 31, GNA – The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential primaries is progressing steadily in the Takoradi Constituency of the Western Region, where a total of 665 voters are expected to cast their ballots.
When the Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited the Takoradi Presby Primary School polling centre, it observed that the exercise started at exactly 0700 hours with the agents of the various candidates, and security officers present.
As of 0850 hours, about 170 voters had cast their ballots, while others waited patiently in queues for their turn.


Madam Catherine Tachie Akyaa, the Presiding Officer for the Takoradi Constituency, told the GNA that the process was progressing devoid of
“As you can see, the process is ongoing peacefully, and they have gone through it smoothly and timely without hitches, and we hope that it will continue this way till end of polls,” she said.
Mr Kwaku Eric Akyeampong, a delegate, who had cast his ballot described the process as smooth, free, and fair.
He said: “Everything is smooth, you only have to follow the instructions being given to you and you are good to go.”
He asked those yet to cast their votes to conduct themselves well, and put the interest of the party first after the end of polls.
