Ho, Jan. 13, GNA-Mr Edem Kofi Kpotosu, Member of Parliament (MP) of Ho Central, has accounted for his first-year stewardship in Parliament, assuring residents and investors that Ho remains peaceful.
Mr Kpotosu, staged a press soiree to render account of his one-year stewardship in Parliament.
He described the engagement as a pivotal moment for the constituency, saying he remained committed to advancing shared commitments and prosperity for residents.
“My approach this evening is transparent, evidence-based, and responsive to the voices of those I serve,” Mr Kpotosu stated, outlining his journey, achievements, challenges, and ambitions.
Reflecting on his first year as a first-time legislator, he said the transition from campaigning to parliamentary procedures and committee work presented a steep learning curve.
“I have learnt that real work happens in committees and private consultations, not just in chamber debates,” he said, stressing the importance of building relationships across the aisle.
Mr Kpotosu noted that his biggest lesson was putting the constituency first, explaining that his performance in Accra was judged by its impact on Ho Central.
On achievements, he cited interventions in health, education, youth entrepreneurship, agriculture, and water and sanitation as key areas that received attention within the year.
He acknowledged challenges but said the unwavering support and constructive criticism of constituents had been his motivation and guidance throughout the period.
“I remain your servant,” Mr Kpotosu said, pledging accountability, unity, and collaboration, while inviting questions and feedback to deepen democratic engagement.
