Madam Emelia Arthur starts Edwuma na Nkɔdo” project

Shama (WR), Jan. 7, GNA – Madam Emelia Arthur, the Member of Parliament for Shama says the development of the Constituency remains a top priority, to prosper the indigenes in the new year. 

Her vision to grow the Constituency to the next level, also aligns with the ruling government’s resetting agenda to make Ghana a more suitable place for the youth in particular and the nation in general.   

Madam Arthur told the Ghana News Agency that aside, the construction of schools from her portion of the Assembly’s Common Fund, distribution of food aid, free medical care, a vehicle support initiative dubbed “Edwuma na Nkɔdo”  had also started to help youth of the area. 

The initiative, had already given two Hyundai Elantra saloon cars and five Aboboya tricycles to some beneficiaries under work-and-pay for two years. 

Madam Arthur explained that the “Edwuma na Nkɔdo” initiative would improve upon transportation and also empower beneficiaries to be financially stable. 

She emphasised that the vehicles were not free gifts, adding that beneficiaries were expected to use them responsibly for approve constituency and community-related activities while, honouring the agreed repayment terms within the two-year duration. 

Also, in the year under review, the MP, commissioned several boreholes to support the water situation in the constituency.
