Jinijini, (Bono), Jan. 31, GNA-Mr Isaac Agyei, the Berekum West Constituency Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has implored delegates and supporters of the party to accept the outcome of the Presidential Primary in good faith.
He said though the Presidential Primary was essential, the NPP ought to prioritise winning the Election 2028 and that required a formidable front.
Mr Agyei, also Assembly Member of the Atonotia Electoral Area gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Jinijini, the constituency capital.
He said with strengthened party unity, any of the presidential hopefuls who would win the primary could lead the NPP to regain political power in 2028.
Mr Peter Asomah Boampong, the Berekum West Constituency Chairman of the NPP also told the GNA that 366 delegates in the constituency were expected cast their ballots.
He advised the delegates and supporters of the party to comport themselves well for the elections to be peaceful and successful.
Meanwhile, voting began at exactly 0700 hours at the Jinijini St Lucy Primary School, the venue for the event and at 1200 hours about 314 delegates had cast their votes.
