Leaders of Lemina community pay courtesy call on DCE

Kpassa (O/R), Jan 24, GNA-A group from Lemina community, a suburb of the Nkwant North District in the Oti Region, have paid a courtesy visit to the District Chief Executive of the district, Mr Dordoe Isaiah Kudjo, to formally present some pressing developmental needs of the community.

Mr. Kadri Obrenya, the Assembly Member for Kpassa West Electoral area, who led the team, during the visit outlined challenges facing the community, especially the lack of portable water, unreliable electricity supply, and lack of access to good roads, among others.

According to him, there is a lack of portable drinking water because the community rely on stream water as their primary source of water, leading to a surge in waterborne illness, especially typhoid.

He emphasized that these issues continue to affect daily life and hinder social and economic activities in the area.

The Assembly Member, however, appealed to the DCE to support efforts aimed at addressing the needs of the community and improving the living conditions of the people.

Mr. Dordoe Isaiah Kudjo, the DCE, in his response, welcomed the delegation and commended them for engaging the district authorities in their needs.

He assured them that their concerns had been noted and would be considered part of the district’s development planning process.
