Asamanso (C/R), Dec. 05, GNA – Mr Patrick Fiable, the District Chief Executive for Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira (THLD) has cut the sod for the construction of a three- unit classroom block at Asamanso, and a kindergarten block at Denkyira Wawase.
The classroom blocks each include offices, store, staff room and toilets.
The DCE said the projects being funded by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), was expected to be completed within six months and handed over to the beneficiaries.
Mr Fiable called on indigenes of Denkyira Wawase, to support the contractor to complete the project on time and assist the school’s management in safeguarding school property.
He gave the assurance that the district works engineer would monitor the project to make sure they were executed according to the specifications, to ensure value for money.


The DCE further assured the elders and people of Denkyira Wawase of the government’s determination to help bring the needed development to them.
Mr Isaac Nyame, a farmer at Denkyira Wawase in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said the construction of the classroom block would enable them to enrol their wards at school at an early age, to enable the children to become conversant with the learning environment.
He appealed to the Assembly to equip the classrooms with quality furniture to enhance teaching and learning.
