Kumasi, Dec. 12, GNA – Ministers of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) have been urged to intensify their evangelism efforts to help win more souls for the church and God.
Reverend Otuo Acheampong a retired chairperson of the Asante Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, who made the call, said aggressive evangelism by the ministers and members of the church was crucial in shaping the morals of the youth.
He was speaking at the induction ceremony for 12 district ministers of the church, held at the Mount Moria Presby church in Kumasi.
Rev. Otuo Acheampong said discipline and courtesy were the hallmark of the church and this glory needed to be restored in society.
He called for a strong revival in the church in an efforts to mend the fallen moral standards in society.

The PGC was the first to establish a teacher training college in 1848 at Akroppmg.
It also pioneered the establishment of most of the educational institutions and health facilities in the country.
Rev. Eric Adjapong, Adiebeba District Minister of the church, said the ministers had a huge responsibility of searching for lost souls and briging them to Christ.
He said the main task of the ministers was to propagate the gospel of Christ and they must do just that to help reduce immorality and other antisocial vices.
