Tema, Dec. 31, GNA – The GRATIS Foundation has successfully concluded its maiden National Management Retreat and Capacity-Building Training at its Head Office in Tema in the Greater Accra Region.
The GRATIS Foundation, an agency under the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry (MoTAI), is a technology transfer and technical skills development organisation.
The Foundation currently operates eight regional centres and 31 district technology solution centres nationwide, playing a critical role in promoting industrial development, innovation and skills training across the country.
The two-day retreat brought together Divisional Directors at the Head Office, Regional Directors and Directors of Technology Solution Centres from across the country.
The retreat was initiated by the new management of GRATIS Foundation, led by Dr Isaac Adaebsah, Chief Executive Officer, and Nana Kwabena Adjei-Anomafo, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, as part of efforts to reposition the organisation for improved efficiency and enhanced national relevance.


The primary objective of the programme was to strengthen leadership capacity within the organisation, introduce new policies, and clearly communicate the strategic direction and operational roadmap of GRATIS under the new leadership.
Participants were also equipped with tools and insights aimed at enhancing organisational performance, improving system efficiency and aligning management practices with the Foundation’s mandate of providing technological support to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), industry players and contributing meaningfully to the achievement of government development goals.
Key areas discussed during the retreat included leadership capacity assessment, perception and leadership, emotional intelligence, organisational capacity assessment, operational structure and system efficiency, financial management and centralisation, as well as positioning GRATIS for national relevance.
