Accra, Dec. 7, GNA – A year ago, on December 7, 2024, eligible Ghanaian voters went to the polls to elect a President, and Members of Parliament across the 275 constituencies in the country.

From coastal towns to northern communities, long queues stretched outside polling centres as citizens, young and old, stood shoulder-to-shoulder with a shared sense of purpose and responsibility.

It was a moment where confidence and anxiety walked hand-in-hand as voters whispered prayers, election officers checked every detail, and polling agents took their positions like guardians of the people’s will.

Democracy had called again and the people responded. However, it wasn’t only the people that responded. The Ghana News Agency (GNA), responded too.

From the first click at the Police Station where election materials had been kept, to the last click where the President elect gave his victory speech, the GNA was present, capturing every moment.
