e-Crime Bureau appoints former CSA Director General as its Executive Chairman

Accra, Dec15, Dr Albert Antwi- Boasiako, the former Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), has been appointed to serve as the Executive Chairman of e-Crime Bureau by the new Board of Directors of the firm.


Dr. Antwi-Boasiako, an institutional builder, founded the e-Crime Bureau in 2011 and served as the firm’s Principal Consultant until 2017 when he was appointed to serve in public service, establishing the CSA and serving as the Authority’s first Director-General until March 2025.


A distinguished Author and continental cybersecurity leader, Dr. Antwi- Boasiako led the institutionalisation of Ghana’s cybersecurity, driving the country’s cybersecurity readiness from 32.6% when he was first appointed in 2017 to 99.27% by 2025, according to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)’s Global Cybersecurity Index, a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra has said.


It said Dr. Antwi-Boasiako also served as the founding Chair of the African Network of Cyber Security Authorities (ANCA), leading the pan-African body and working closely with the Smart Africa Alliance to adopt ANCA’s constitutional framework and a 5-year blueprint to support cybersecurity development on the continent.


The inauguration of the 3rd Governing Board of the Bureau aligns with the firm’s Transition and Growth Strategy, which focuses on scaling up the firm’s service portfolio and market reach – both in Ghana and across targeted international markets.


Apart from leading the Board to provide strategic direction to the firm, Dr Antwi-Boasiako is also expected to drive the firm’s international market in positioning the Bureau as a Pan-African leader in cybersecurity consulting, technology solutions and business transformation.


“ As part of the firm’s Transition and Growth Strategy, a Consulting Chief Executive (CCE), Mr. Emmanuel Agyei, a seasoned business leader, has also been appointed to provide operational leadership to lead the execution of the firm’s Strategy.

“The Bureau has also appointed accomplished professionals and business leaders as Board Members to provide strategic direction and support to drive the firm’s strategy”.


The statement named members of the Board as Mr. Daniel Adoteye, Dr. Suzanne Nti, Professor Goski Alabi, Mr. Hicham El Achgar, Mr. Michael Abbiw with Mr. Emmanuel Agyei as the Consulting Chief Executive.


Ms. Cecilia Antwi Kyem has also been appointed as Board Secretary.
The inauguration of the Board was held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the firm’s office at East Legon, Accra.


The Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy were administered by Justice Rebecca Sittie, a retired Justice of the High Court.
