Assin Darmang (C/R), Dec. 05, GNA – The ‘Concerned Youth of Assin Darmang (CYOAD),’ a Group in the Assin South District of the Central Region has donated some relief items to Adankwaman SHS (ADANSEC), to support the administration of the school.

The items included 30 pieces of iron rods, 30 bags of cement, two trips of sand and chippings to rebuild some structures of the school which collapsed after a rainstorm.

Handing over the items, Mr Frank Gyamfi a member of the group said they was moved by the plight of the school, which had some of its structures destroyed after a heavy downpour.

Mr Gyamfi appealed to old students, philanthropist, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to donate generously to help rebuild the structures, for teaching and learning to resume.

Receiving the items, Mr Stephen Mutah, the Assistant Headmaster in charge of Academics, expressed gratitude to the group, saying the support had come at a crucial time.

He pledged to ensure the items were used for the intended purpose, to enable students continue with their academic work.

On Tuesday, October 07, 2025, a devastating storm hit ADANSEC resulting in the ripping off the roofs of a six-unit classroom block, the boy’s dormitories among other structures.

Desks, teaching materials and others were also destroyed during the downpour.
