Accra, Dec 14, GNA- Mr Prince Bagnaba Mba, President of Equity Forum has called for the return of Boys Company also known as Junior leaders in the army.
“The present precarious situation of extremists fundamentalist incursion into almost all parts of West Africa ,calls for a more radical approach of prevention”.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on military attacks, he said military schools were teenagers trained, drilled and grilled in the art of modern warfare and should be reinstated.
“ The discipline and infused ever ready battle training made them very brave and fearless to encounter any attacks”.
Mr Mba said democracy was now deeply rooted and it would be highly impossible for any power coupist to succeed.
“Catching them young enhances professional efficiency.
“It was a sad chapter for the close down of the school in Kumasi for the fear of these youngsters overthrowing military governments.
“Mr President and parliament should consider the issue and ensure the re -establishment of some designated schools throughout the country.
That Mr Mba said could ward off terrorists intending to cause mayhem in the country.
