Sunyani (Bono), Nov. 05, GNA – MIHOSO International Foundation, a health-centered Non-Governmental Organisation has received the prestigious National Award for Excellence in Health, Social Development, and Livelihoods.
The Sunyani-based NGO working to improve welfare and socio-economic livelihoods of the vulnerable population, was recognised by their dedicated services to the nation at the Fourth Edition of the Ghana Philanthropy Awards held at the La Palm Royal Beach in Accra on October 30, 2025.
A statement issued and signed by Mr Thomas Benarkuu, the Deputy Chief Executive of MIHOSO in-charge of Operations and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said the award was presented by Dr Leslie Casely-Hayford, the Executive Director of Associates for Change (AFC).
“The award acknowledges our unwavering commitment to advancing human dignity through selfless service, compassion, and impactful initiatives that uplift lives and strengthen communities nationwide.
“The What started as a mission to bring hope and change to vulnerable communities across Ghana has now been recognised on a national stage,” saying “this milestone is a celebration of the collective effort of our dedicated team, partners, and donors, whose passion and support make our vision possible,” the statement said.
The statement said the Foundation had dedicated that award to, most importantly, the rural and vulnerable communities, saying MIHOSO remained steadfast in its mission as it reflected on this achievement, to build resilience, protect people, and secure livelihoods for a more inclusive and sustainable future.
