Sunyani (Bono), Nov. 03, GNA – Pastor Dr Edward K. Tumsiah, the National Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) Ghana, says the church is ready to facilitate the resumption and completion of work on some abandoned district hospital projects, under Agenda 111 programme.
The District Hospitals Under the Agenda 111 programme was initiated under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration, to transform the country’s health care system and began the construction of the district hospital.
Originally, each hospital project was designed to sit on a 15-acre site at an estimated cost of approximately $17,000,000, however, construction works on most of the uncompleted projects had been abandoned and left under the mercy of the weather.
Pastor Dr Tumsiah said as key partners of development, DCLM Ghana, was ready to sign an agreement with the government to pave the way for the church to resume construction works and complete some of those hospital projects for the nation.
The National Overseer said this when he inaugurated the Middle-Belt Zone of the DCLM Ghana, comprising the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions of the Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC) at Sunyani.
Pastor Dr Tumsiah said the DCLM Ghana would soon be 50 years old, saying the church had earmarked several activities including massive infrastructure development to mark the anniversary celebration.
He said among its “Jubilee Projects” were the construction of an ultra-modern hospital and water factory projects, saying plans were advanced for construction works to commence, and that drawings on those projects had been completed.
“So, if the government cannot complete the hospital projects, then they should release some of them for us to include in our jubilee project execution and complete them,” Pastor Dr Tumsiah stated.
Besides spiritual development, the DCLM Ghana remained committed towards restructuring and re-strategising, to create more jobs for young people, saying it would soon establish a security company, train and outsource personnel to institutions.
Pastor Dr Tumsiah indicated that the church had now established the Deeper Life Education Unit, working to ensure that schools owned by the church became topmost in the country, saying many of its ‘jubilee projects’ were expected to be completed by 2029.
Earlier, Pastor Christopher Ayangbefia, the Coordinating Regional Overseer of the Middle-Belt Zone asked the members of the church to contribute their quota towards the execution of the jubilee projects.
