Sefwi-Asawinso (WN/R), Oct. 06, GNA – Mr. Kofi Benteh Afful, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sefwi-Wiawso Constituency, in the Western North Region, has promised to fix the deplorable Sefwi-Asawinso-Essakrom Road to make commuting easier for residents in that area.

The MP said he was aware of the poor condition of that road, and that he would take steps to ensure it was fixed.

Mr. Afful made the promise when he visited the Ebenezer Congregation of the Presbyterian Church to thank the people for voting for him to become the MP for the area.

He announced that approval had been given to upgrade the Asawinso Market into a 24-Hour market.

He announced that official works on that project would begin soon.

He also promised to ensure an even distribution of developments in every community within the district and called on the church to continue praying for him to lobby for more development to the constituency.

Mr. Dominic Gyasi, the Municipal Chief Executive for the area, said the Assembly would continue to prioritise development for residents to help improve upon their living standards.
