Bolgatanga, Oct. 15, GNA – The Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga is set to dispose of unclaimed unknown bodies in a planned mass burial.
A statement issued by the Regional Police Command and signed by Chief Inspector Abdul Rahman Sumaila, the Public Relations Officer of the Regional Police Command announced that the Regional Hospital would soon dispose of the bodies currently kept at the hospital’s morgue.
The statement therefore called on members of the public to visit the hospital and identify any of their deceased relatives before the planned mass burial.
The statement further advised the public to always carry a valid national identification card when moving about to help in easy identification in the event of any unfortunate incident.
It urged residents to treat the announcement with urgency and cooperate with hospital authorities to ensure that deceased persons were properly identified and handed over to their families for burial.
