Miotso, Oct. 27, GNA –Mr Osborn K. Divine Fenu, the immediate past District Chief Executive (DCE) of North Tongu, has reportedly died in a road accident that occurred on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
According to family sources, the former DCE was travelling to Accra after visiting a family engagement in his hometown within the North Tongu District when the accident happened near the Central University enclave at Miotso, along the Tema-Aflao highway.
He was rushed to the Tema General Hospital for medical attention, but was later pronounced dead.
Mr Fenu served as DCE under the Akufo-Addo-led administration from 2021 to January 2025.
Prior to his appointment, he worked with the Ghana Education Service as a teacher, where he was recognised for his commitment to nurturing young learners and promoting quality education in the district.
He played integral roles particularly during the October 2023 Akosombo Dam spillage that displaced many residents within the North Tongu District.
Meanwhile, tributes have begun pouring in from residents, colleagues, and political figures who described his passing as a great loss to the district and the Volta Region.
