Adom-Otchere wants court to quash directive ordering him to declare his property, income

By Morkporkpor Anku

Accra, Oct. 29, GNA- Mr Paul Adom-Otchere, a Former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited, has filed an application at the High Court seeking to quash a directive by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) ordering him to declare his property and income.

Lawyers for Adom-Otchere, led by Mr Godfred Dame, a former Attorney-General, argued that the directive issued on August 4, 2025 was unlawful, violated the Office of the Special Prosecutor Act, 2017 (Act 959) and its regulations, and constituted an abuse of power.

He seeks a declaration that the OSP’s directive and alleged threats of “legal consequences”, “confiscation”, and “detention” were unlawful and amount to harassment.

He was also asking for an order prohibiting the OSP from detaining him should he refuse to declare his property and income to the office by the stated deadline, among other reliefs.

Mr Adom-Otchere is being investigated by the OSP for suspected corruption and corruption-related offences in the award of a revenue assurance contract by GACL to Evatex Limited.
