Anloga (VR), Oct. 16, GNA – The 1980-year group of old students Association of Anlo Senior High Secondary School (Anssosa Diaspora), have supported their alma mater with some furniture to enhance teaching and learning in the institution.
They presented 200 pieces of mono desk, worth hundreds of Ghana cedis to the school to facilitate comfort for students during teaching and learning periods.
Dr Alex Akpabli, the Vice President of the ANSSOSA Diaspora, in a speech on behalf of the Association, said the ceremony was a celebration of shared heritage as ANSSOSA alumi, as well as a collective commitment by its members to support the growth and progress of their alma mater.

“We are a global family, bound not only by fond memories of our days at Anseco but also by sharing a sense of duty to give back to the institutions that shape us. We recognise that the success we enjoy today is built upon the foundation laid here, and it is only right that we invest in that foundation to benefit the generations coming after us,” Dr Akpabli said.
He said the vision of the Association was to create a community where every student, regardless of their socio-economic background or circumstances, had access to quality education and strived to reach their full potential.

He mentioned some key objectives that would guide the project as mobilising resources and partnerships to improve teaching and learning conditions, promote alumni unity and engagement across the global diaspora as well as undertake development projects such as classroom renovation, ICT enhancement and provision of furniture.
Dr Akpabli said education was not just about books and exams but also creating spaces where young minds could excel in streng, thening communities.
He said the gesture was a product of collaboration, sacrifice and love and promised that the Association would initiate more projects to uplift the standard of the school, while urging that the items should be used for the intended purpose.
Mr Dominic Dzanado, the Ghana Education Service Director of Anloga, who also witnessed the ceremony thanked the donors for their kind gesture, and appealed to other individuals, philanthropists and organisation to emulate same to alleviate the numerous challenges faced by schools in the area.

Mr Wisdom Kwame Adeti, the Headmaster of Anseco, who received the items on behalf of students and staff, expressed gratitude to the old students and pledged to ensure the maintenance of the furniture for the benefit of present and future students and staff.
