Dambai (O/R), Sept. 26, GNA – Bueman Senior High School (BUSEC) is set to celebrate its 65th anniversary from October 13 to October 19, 2025, marking a significant milestone in its history of academic excellence and character formation.

The week-long celebration will bring together alumni, students, teachers, and stakeholders to commemorate the school’s enduring legacy. Established 65 years ago, BUSEC has grown into one of the most reputable senior high schools in the Oti Region.

Over the decades, the school has produced many distinguished alumni who have contributed to politics, business, education, the arts, and other fields.

Planned activities for the anniversary include a durbar of chiefs, a homecoming ceremony for alumni, and a parade of students. The events will also provide a platform to reflect on the school’s achievements and challenges while charting a path for future growth.

Mr. Charles McCartney, a former teacher and member of the anniversary planning committee, expressed gratitude to all who have contributed to the school’s success. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), he acknowledged the roles of teachers, parents, and stakeholders in nurturing students and fostering a culture of excellence.

Mr. Frank Boamah, Headmaster of BUSEC, said the 65th anniversary serves as both a celebration and a reminder of the school’s enduring legacy. He reaffirmed the school’s commitment to providing quality education and producing well-rounded individuals capable of making a positive impact on society.
