Photos: Select Committee on Information and Communication pays working visit to GNA

Accra, Sept. 12, GNA – The Parliamentary Select Committee on Information and Communications has paid a working visit to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).

The visit which aimed at keeping the committee abreast with the operations of the organisation, was also to aid them identify challenges hampering its operations.

Led by its Chairman, Dr Abednego Bandim, the Committee gave assurances of its commitment to support the agency and pledged to ensure the GNS is allocated adequate resources to enhance its operations for effective delivery on its mandate.

He was accompanied by Mr Charles Asuako Owiredu, the Deputy Ranking Member, Mr Simon Aworigo Akibange, Mr Nelson Kofi Djabab, and Mr Felix Okle Akwetev, all members.

The rest are Mr Adama Sulemana, Mr Thomas Tsekpo Worlanyo, and Mr David Vondee Theophilus Dominic.

The committee also assessed ongoing renovation works on the agency’s Head office building at the Ministries in Accra.
