Accra, Sept.19, GNA – The nineth edition of the Ghana International Trade & Finance Conference (GITFiC 2025) has been scheduled for 29th October to 2nd November 2025, in Accra.
A release copied to Ghana News Agency said this year’s Conference will host the 2nd Global Debt Initiative (GDI) to, among other things, “advance collective solutions for global debtsustainability.”
The main conference is themed: “Spurring GITFiC’s Global Debt Initiative; Consolidating Member States’ Gains for Synergistic Impacts”. It is organised in partnership with the National Technical Working Committee of the GITFiC Agenda 2031.
Officials say the conference will include the Maiden AfCFTA Tertiary Students’ Congress, aimed at “empowering Africa’s next generation to shape the future of trade and finance.Guided by the theme”.
The event is expected to bring together Heads of State, Ministers, Governors of Central Banks, International Development Experts, Global Economists, Business Leaders, Academia, and Civil Society to engage in top-level dialogue on debt, trade, and regional integration under the AfCFTA.
The gathering is expected to deliver “thought-provoking discussions, high-level networking, and actionable outcomes that will shape the trajectory of Africa’s financial and trade future.”
The Ghana International Trade & Finance Conference is a registered subsidiary of Rescue Shipping & Investment Agency Ltd.
The conference, held annually, transformed into a Pan-African conference and was held at the AU Headquarters in 2019 in partnership with the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations.
GITFIC brings together business executives, policy makers and subject matter experts from all over Africa and the world to discuss ways of enhancing inter Africa trade, regional integration, trade liberalisation, trade policies and practices, among others.
It forms part of efforts to position Africa as a block in global trade, while governments and stakeholders work together on a shared future.
