Akatsi (VR), Sept. 24, GNA – The Management and Board of Champions Susu Enterprise, a financial scheme in the Volta Region, has presented educational items to pupils from five selected Basic Schools within the Akatsi South Municipality and beyond.
The beneficiary pupils and students, drawn from basic one to Junior High School (JHS) three, were given bundles of exercise books, boxes of mathematical sets, and packs of pencils, crayons, and erasers as a sign of motivating them to strive for academic excellence.
Mr Gershon Kofi Dorvlo, the Chief Executive Officer of the Scheme, who spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) about the donation at Akatsi, explained that the gesture formed part of the scheme’s corporate social responsibility agenda and his personal desire to promote quality education in the area.
He indicated the beneficiaries were those who claimed first to third positions in their respective classes for the past academic term.
“We will continue to give the awards to deserving pupils in other schools as we also work hand in hand with their parents to inculcate the habit of saving to mitigate their financial needs in society.”
Mr Dorvlo made the pledge after a presentation event at the Tsavanya DA Basic School, being the first beneficiary school under the project.
“We will do it on their PTA meeting days from now to October 2025,” he added.
The rest of the first selected schools are Akatsi ARS Basic schools, Akatsi No.1 Basic schools, Agbedrafor Basic schools, and Akatsi Demonstration.
Parents and stakeholders from the educational set-up have since expressed gratitude to the team for the continuous support in the area.
Champions Susu Enterprise, one of the fastest-growing financial schemes within Akatsi South and beyond, has been noted for its benevolence in the past few months since its existence.
