Kasseh (Ada East), Sept. 26, GNA – The Ada East District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has organised the 2025 edition of its annual inter-school quiz competition on the 1992 Constitution for basic schools in the Kasseh Zone.

The event, held at the Pentecost Church Auditorium at Kasseh, brought together four schools, made up of two public and two privates, to test their knowledge on Ghana’s 1992 Constitution and promote civic awareness among young people.

The contest, which forms part of the Commission’s flagship civic education programme, aims to strengthen Civic Education Clubs in schools and inspire students to engage more actively with the Constitution.

Madam Faustina Blewusi, the Ada East District Director of NCCE, who is also known as Mama Magbenya II, said the competition was designed to empower students to learn, defend and uphold the Constitution.

At the end of the keenly contested quiz, Bedeku D/A Junior High School won with 59 points, followed by Kasseh No. 2 JHS with 40 points, while Pentecost Preparatory School placed third with 35 points, and Ade School Complex came fourth with 27 points.

Madam Blewusi said the focus of the programme was not only on winners and losers but also on the knowledge gained, adding, “Every student here is a winner for deepening their understanding of the Constitution.”

She thanked the NCCE headquarters for its support and guidance and Madam Comfort Doeyo Cudjoe, the Member of Parliament for Ada Constituency, for sponsoring prizes, trophies and refreshments for the programme.

She also commended the district NCCE staff for their dedication and teamwork and Pentecost Preparatory School for making its auditorium available for the competition.
