Ho (V/R), Aug. 6, GNA – Ghana Water Limited (GWL) in the Volta Region has announced a planned water supply interruption on Thursday, August 7, 2025, due to scheduled maintenance works by the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) at the Asiekpe Bulk Supply Point.
In a press release dated August 6, GWL explained that the maintenance will disrupt power supply to its Kpeve, Kpando, and Hohoe Water Treatment Plants from 0800 to 1700 hours, halting water production during that period.
Communities expected to be affected include Ho, Kpeve, Tsito, Kpando, Hohoe, Jasikan, and surrounding areas.
“Water production will resume once power is restored,” the statement assured.
GWL advised residents to store enough water ahead of the interruption to mitigate any inconvenience.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and cooperation,” the release added.
The Company reiterated its commitment to delivering reliable water services to consumers across the region.
This follows an earlier notice from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Volta Region, confirming GRIDCo’s scheduled maintenance at the Asiekpe Bulk Supply Point, which will affect electricity supply in the listed areas.
