Sefwi-Asawinso (WN/R), Aug. 15, GNA – Some residents in the Western North Region have called on Ghanaians especially political actors to maintain the unity and cohesion shown from the mourning of the eight victims of the tragic helicopter crash.

Some of them who spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) lauded the way the whole country had shown unity in this time of national grief.

“It is difficult to identify who belongs to party A or B during this period and we must as a country, continue to live in harmony with one another irrespective of your tribe, religion or political affiliations,” an elderly man said.

Others, called on the political class to maintain this moment of reflection and see themselves as one people, even during political campaign seasons.

“I shed tears watching the children and widows read their tributes, and I am imagining how the immediate families will feel, so may they be comforted in these trying times,” a shop attendant at Asawinso said.

Another resident appealed to the state to provide psychologist to the immediate families, wife and children, while establishing a dedicated fund to support their children’s education.
