Juaboso (WN/R), Aug. 11, GNA – Mr Alexander Adu Quist, the Sefwi Juaboso District Chief Executive (DCE), has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic military helicopter crash that claimed eight lives at Adansi Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview, he described the crash as very devastating and scary, stating that the unfortunate deaths of the Environment, and Defence Ministers, and the six other officials were a great loss to the nation.
He said as the nation reflected on the lives of the deceased, their dedication, passion, and commitment to public service should serve as a reminder to statesmanship for all.
“May their legacies live on, inspiring future generations to serve with integrity and purpose, and together, we stand in solidarity by mourning their loss, honouring their services, and hoping for strength and unity in healing,” he added.
The DCE, on behalf of the people of Sefwi Juaboso, extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the government, and everyone affected by their deaths.
Mr Quist said: “We pray for strength, comfort, and God’s guidance during this very trying moment, and may the good Lord give us all strength and fortitude to mourn during this sorrowful time.”
