Nyinahini, (Ashanti), Aug 31, GNA-The Women’s Wing of the Islamic Mission Secretariat (IMS), has presented some items to the Nyinahini Government Hospital in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
They included quantities of waste bins, tissue papers, bags of washing powder as well as some food items including bags of rice, bunches of plantain, yams, and other consumables.
According to Hajia Halima Frimpomaa, the First Vice President of the IMS, the presentation was part of activities lined up with the 27th Annual Women’s Conference of the Wing, underway at Otaakrom in the district.
She said the members of the wing contributed individually for the items, saying, “Islam teaches to care and share with the vulnerable in society like orphans, the poor and needy and the sick.”
The three-day conference is on the theme: “The Role of a Muslim Woman in Nation Building through Commitment.”
Mr Joseph Baba, the Estate Officer at the Nyinahini Government Hospital, thanked the Wing, saying, the items would help the facility a lot and appealed for more support.
he donors later toured the various wards of the hospital and offered prayers for the clients and wished them speedy recovery.
