It said the Commission would receive Nominations from prospective Candidates from September 8 to 10, at the Tamale Metropolitan Office of the EC, between 0900 to 1200 hours and 1400 to 1700 hours.

The EC urged interested candidates to download the Nomination Forms from its website – www.ec.gov.gh, from August 19 to September 10.

The statement explained that a prospective candidate may personally deliver, or cause to be delivered on his/her behalf by either the Proposer or Seconder of his/her Nomination.

The forms should be witnessed by the signature or mark of two registered voters (Proposer and Seconder), and supported by 18 other registered voters in the Constituency as assenting to the nomination.

“The Nomination Forms shall also be endorsed with the Candidate’s consent to the Nomination,” the statement added.

Additionally two copies of a recent postcard-size (bust-sized) photograph, against a red background, showing the candidate’s full face and ears, were to be provided to the Returning Officer at the time of submitting the completed nomination forms, the statement said.

“All completed Nomination Forms must be delivered in quadruplicate (i.e., four copies),” it added.
