Agona-Nkwanta (W/R), Aug. 06, GNA – Dr Maxwell Boakye, the Western Regional representative on the Council of State, has donated GHC100,000 to little Jayla Queen Fynn to help her undergo critical surgery at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

The amount is to support the one-and-half-year old Fynn from the Ahanta West Municipality who is battling a congenital heart defect to undergo life-saving surgery to repair a hole in her heart.

To further ease the financial burden on her parents, Dr Boakye also provided an additional GHC10,000 to support the child’s upkeep before and after the surgery, including transportation to and from Korle-Bu.

In an interview after the short presentation ceremony, he stated that beyond his role as a Council of State Member, such a gesture formed part of his commitment to help those in need.

Dr Boakye said he would strive to have positive impacts on the lives of others, particularly those in the Western Region as part of his resolve to make society a better place for all.
