Bediako (Kpone-Katamanso), Aug. 18, GNA – Mr. Bennett Emman Raymond, Headteacher of Gina’s Angel School, has underscored the importance of career day celebrations in schools as a tool to inspire and guide students in their future career paths.

He explained that career day serves as an introduction for students to explore various professions, broadening their awareness of job options while linking the relevance of classroom studies to real-life opportunities.

Speaking with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr. Raymond noted that such activities spark curiosity and imagination, expose students to practical life choices, and aid in self-discovery and motivation, especially at the basic level.

He stressed that career day should be engaging, inclusive, and frequent, with support from parents and collaboration with professionals to provide meaningful experiences. According to him, interactions with professionals serve as positive role models, encouraging students to strive for success and shaping their aspirations.

Mr. Raymond added that students dressing up in professional costumes such as lawyers, nurses, artisans, and doctors during the celebration makes their dreams feel achievable.

He further urged parents to guide and respect their wards’ career choices by observing their strengths and supporting them with positive mentorship opportunities.
