Accra, Aug 13, GNA – The BCM Ghana Limited is insisting that the Attackers of their facility are Landguards and not Police as alleged by their opponents.
“The company’s attention has been drawn to a series of online publications on various news outlets by Angela List in which she denies attacking our Spintex workshop with land guards. In the said publications she claims the persons who attacked the workshop were officers of the Ghana Police Service executing an order of the court”.
A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday said the company was not however surprised, as similar deception and duplicity were the defining patterns of her conduct.
“The company therefore deems it, necessary to correct the false information she is putting out”.
The statement said on 30th July 2025 between the hours of 0900 an10.00 hours, Angela List sent a group of armed land guards to the company’s workshop at Spintex.
“The land guards were led by a well-known land guard who goes by the name “cyborg” to the workshop. The said cyborg has been previously arrested by the Property Fraud Unit of the Ghana Police service and the Greater Accra Regional Command after he under the supervision of Angela List had trespassed onto other parcels of land owned by BCM Ghana Limited and is on police enquiry bail. Cyborg acts of being a land guard and his acts of trespassing are the subject of investigations by the Ghana Police service”.
The statement said the workshop is where defective BCM equipment were sent for repairs and where the company’s cars were sent for fueling. On the date of the attack, the statement added that the workers at the workshop were going about their daily activities when the land guards attempted taking over the premises. They were only prevented from doing so by the quick thinking workers who promptly locked the gate preventing them from accessing the workshop.
“At no point during this attack did these land guards attempt even introducing themselves or show any court order they were seeking to present. It took the pictures taken by the workers for us to identify Cyborg as the leader of the attack”.
The statement said pictures as well as the registration number of the vehicles they arrived in had been sent to the criminal investigations department of the Ghana Police service to aid their investigations.
“This makes her claim that these persons were there in furtherance of a court order ridiculous.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time she has used land guards to attack BCM Ghana property. There have been similar attacks on the company’s property at Borteyman and on the Spintex Road. These attacks are the subject matter of various actions in the Lands Division of the High Court. The company’s. headquarters has not been spared either from her use of land guards. These attacks are also the subject of investigations by the relevant security services”.
The statement said with respect to the proceedings in court, the Court of Appeal on 26th May 2025 in civil motion H3/236/2025 with title Angela Diala List v Paul List & others stayed the execution of a judgment in the High Court which had declared Angela List a Director and shareholder of the company pending the determination of the company’s appeal.
The statement said the Stay of execution was granted, upon an application of BCM Ghana Limited. The effect of the application was to return the parties to the status quo pending the determination of the appeal.
“Angela List has not acted in any capacity for BCM Ghana since her resignation from the company in October 2020 and that is the status quo till the Court of Appeal hears our appeal and delivers a judgment”.
It said the court ordered that BCM Ghana filed an inventory of its assets and inform the court and Angela List through her lawyers of any intention to dispose of any property.
“The company has complied with the orders of the court and filed the inventory of its assets. None of these assets are found at the Spintex workshop.
If it is her case that this court order has been breached by BCM Ghana Limited, there is the legal remedy to commit the management of the company for contempt and not the use land guards to fulfil her whims. It is interesting to note that Angela list could not name the company asset she claims was being sold and to whom it was being sold to. Secondly, if there truly was any illegal activity going on at the workshop how come her alleged police officers did not make any arrests.
This goes to show that there is no merit in the claims being made by Angela List We entreat all right meaning members of the public to ignore the attempts being made by Angela list to cover up her illegal acts. Out of respect to the ongoing court processes and the investigations by the security services, the company shall not be making any further comments on this matter.”
