Accra, Aug. 2, GNA – The fourth Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025) will take place from September 4 to 10 at the Palais des Expositions in Algiers, Algeria.
Organised by Afreximbank in partnership with the African Union Commission and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, the event is on the theme “Gateway to New Opportunities” and will convene over 35,000 visitors from more than 140 countries.
More than 2,000 exhibitors are expected to showcase goods and services, with projected trade and investment deals exceeding US$44 billion across sectors including ICT, energy, finance, health, and creative industries.
IATF2025 aims to leverage the AfCFTA single market of 1.4 billion people and a GDP of over US$3.5 trillion by providing a platform for trade, market access, and investment promotion.
Key activities include a four-day Trade and Investment Forum, the Africa Automotive Show, and the Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) programme featuring exhibitions and summits on fashion, music, film, arts, sports, literature, and gastronomy.
The fair will also host Global Africa Day to highlight diaspora ties, a Diaspora Summit, and cultural showcases. B2B and B2G matchmaking platforms, the AU Youth Start-Up programme, and the Africa Research and Innovation Hub will support innovation and entrepreneurship.
The African Sub-Sovereign Governments Network (AfSNET) will promote regional development and collaboration among sub-national governments under the AfCFTA framework
