Ho (V/R), July 3, GNA – The Volta Regional Minister, Mr James Gunu, together with the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Stephen Adom, and other dignitaries, has presented the full proceeds from the maiden Regional Celebration of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving to Madamfo Ghana, a charitable organization based in Ho.
Madamfo Ghana provides shelter, care, and hope to children who have been victims of abuse, neglect, and trafficking.
The Centre is currently home to 32 children, including toddlers as young as two years old.
It has become a beacon of compassion and resilience in the Volta Region.
Mr Gunu described the donation as a tangible expression of faith in action.
“As we lifted our voices in prayer, we were reminded that true thanksgiving must be reflected in how we serve and uplift others. I am deeply grateful that the fruits of such a spiritually rich gathering will directly benefit the lives of these precious children,” he said.
He emphasised that supporting such a cause was beyond charity; “it is a moral responsibility owed to the most vulnerable in society.”
“May our collective acts of kindness continue to strengthen our communities and renew our commitment to building a more just and caring society,” he added.
Management of the Centre thanked the team for their gesture
