Kumasi, July 21 – The Anidaso Mutual Fund PLC, recorded a healthy increase in its Net Asset Value (NAV) by 18.37 per cent to reach GHc 4, 271,786 at the close of 2024, as against GHc 3,608,626 recorded in 2023.
The Fund also performed well in share sales, which surged by an impressive 90.54 per cent, jumping from GHc 411,609 in 2023, to GHc784, 309.00 in 2024.
The Fund’s investor activity in share redemptions rose by 10.91per cent, increasing from GHc 450,096 in 2023 to GHc 499,206 in 2024.
Mr Eric Brobbey, the Vice-chairman of Anidaso Mutual Fund PLC, made these known at the 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Fund in Kumasi.
The AGM among other issues, was aimed at approving the appointment of new custodians of the Fund and transact business appropriate to be dealt with.
Mr Brobbey said the Fund aimed at renewing investor confidence and possibly ensure a strategic shift towards optimising its portfolio.
He said the Fund’s NAV per share however, moved from GHc 1,0285 in 2023 to 1,0261in 2024, and attributed this marginal decrease mainly to portfolio balancing and challenging market conditions.
He stated that the Fund’s investment also experienced a decline of 17.31 per cent, dropping from GHc 553,837 in 2023 to GHc 457,916 in 2024, saying that it was a direct reflection of broader economic shifts, including interest rate fluctuations,
Mr Brobbey said that the Cedi had shown signs of stability and investor confidence was gradually returning.
This would enable the fund scale up its growth through strategic outreach and investor education, to enhance portfolio diversification, and to deliver consistent returns that reflected both the risk and reward of the market.
He pledged the Board of Directors’ commitment towards safeguarding the asset of the Fund and taking responsible steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
He said the Board remained anchored in its mission to grow long term value, while protecting the capital of their unit holders.
Mr Edward Asamoah, the Manager of Anidaso Mutual Fund PLC, said the country’s investment climate was expected to improve as debt restructuring stabilised, and investors might become more confident in the country’s economic prospects.
He noted that, the country’s long term economic prospects were generally showing positive signs especially, as it successfully navigated through its debt issues and efforts to diversify the economy.
