Accra, June 04, GNA – Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has convened a crucial meeting with key stakeholders involved in the proposed establishment of the Women’s Development Bank.
A statement issued by the Office of the Vice President said she met with representatives from the Bank of Ghana, the Ministry of Finance, market queens, a microfinance and susu operator and committee members from her office.
It said the discussions offered valuable insight into the unique financial needs of the women who often operate outside the margins of formal economic systems.
The statement noted that these women, though frequently overlooked, play a vital role in the economic fabric of the nation.

It said this engagement reaffirmed the urgency of designing a system that responds meaningfully to their realities.
“We remain on course and committed to building a bank that truly empowers women and strengthens our economy from the ground up.”
