Bodi (WN/R), May 22, GNA – World Vision Ghana has donated some medical supplies valued at GHC130,000.00 to the Sefwi-Bodi District Health Directorate in the Western North Region.
The items included 130 assorted medical equipment, and other non-medical consumables.
Madam Magdalene Selasi Aku Baku, Officer in charge of Life Project at World Vision Ghana, who spoke on behalf of the National Director, told the Ghana News Agency, that the donation was in line with her organisation’s corporate social responsibility.
She said the gesture was to help the Ghana Heath Service (GHS) in the district to provide quality healthcare services to the people to help enhance their well-being.
She appealed to the management of the Bodi District Health Directorate to make good use of the items received for their intended purposes for the benefit of all.
Mr Paul Noah Quam, the Bodi District Director of Health, who received the items, expressed gratitude to World Vision for the kind gesture, and said the donation was timely.
He expressed confidence that the medical supplies received would help improve healthcare service delivery in the district.
Mr Stephen Baidoo, the Bodi District Chief Executive (DCE), also expressed appreciation to World Vision for the donation, and promised to monitor the use of the medical supplies.
