Sibi(O/R), May 12, GNA-Mr. Issiah Dordoe, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Nkwanta North has called on residents and traditional leaders to promote peace and unity in the district.
Speaking at the Gulf of Guinea Northern Social Cohesion inter-cluster soccer games in Sibi Central, Mr. Dordoe emphasised that peace was crucial for sustainable development.
He said chiefs played a vital role in fostering unity, resolving disputes, and encouraging dialogue to drive community growth.
The DCE highlighted that addressing challenges such as poverty, unemployment, and poor infrastructure required collective effort and harmony among community members.
The Chief of Sibi Central, Ubor Mbabilla Lachuul II, echoed the DCE’s sentiments and appealed for improved basic amenities, including clean water, healthcare, and better road infrastructure, to spur development in the area.
