Kpone, May 14, GNA – Mr Samuel Tetteh Kwashie Morton, the new Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Chief Executive, has outlined a strategic vision to accelerate development across the municipality through robust stakeholder collaboration.

Mr Morton, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kpone, emphasised the need for a unified approach to tackle the developmental challenges facing the area.

He said residents, traditional leaders, assembly members, and opinion leaders within the various electoral areas would play a pivotal role in ensuring the developmental agenda was successfully executed.

“I am committed to bringing every stakeholder on board, from community leaders and civil society groups to private investors, so that together, we can drive meaningful development in Kpone-Katamanso,” he said.

The MCE stated that all ongoing road projects within the municipality were progressing steadily with additional support from the Ministry of Roads and Highways.

Mr Morton hinted that the roads minister had assured him of his commitment to the municipality, saying “Very soon, we expect significant progress on some of the major roads that have been of concern to residents”.

He further touched on the long-standing water crisis in Kpone and its surrounding areas, assuring residents that measures were being put in place to bring sustainable solutions to the problem.

He said access to potable water was very important and promised to ensure that the challenge was resolved as part of his broader plan to improve amenities across the municipality.

Mr Morton further expressed his intention to focus on improving healthcare, education, sanitation, and job creation through inclusive governance and strategic partnerships.

He called on residents to actively participate in the development process by offering constructive feedback and supporting the assembly’s initiatives where necessary.
