NADMO Zonal Coordinator installed as chief

Atwima Yabi (Ash), May 03, GNA – Mr. Joseph Osei Tutu, Zonal Coordinator for the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Atwima Kwanwoma Municipality, has been installed as the new Otumfuo Sikakuahene Nifahene of Atwima Yabi, a community near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. 

 Mr. Osei Tutu, known in his traditional capacity as Nana Akwasi Osei Tutu, the newly enstooled chief swore the customary oath of allegiance to the Otumfuo Sikakuahene of Atwima Yabi, Nana Fosu Anin II, and his elders, after successfully completing all traditional rites. 

During the ceremony, Nana Akwasi Poku, Gyasehene of the Otumfuo Sikakuahene, encouraged the new chief to serve with diligence, unity and development of the community. 

Otumfuo Sikakuahene Gyasehenemaa, Nana Akua Konadu, also urged residents of Atwima Yabi to support their new leader in his efforts to spearhead developmental projects and initiatives for the benefit of the town. 

In his acceptance speech, Nana Akwasi Osei Tutu expressed deep gratitude to Nana Fosu Anin II and his elders for the trust placed in him.  

He pledged to work hard to uplift the image of Atwima Yabi and fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him. 

Highlighting the pressing needs of the community, the new chief, who previously served as Assembly Member for the Yabi Electoral Area identified poor road infrastructure, youth unemployment, and inadequate educational facilities as key challenges he intends to address during his tenure.
