Dambai (O/R), May 16, GNA – A delegation of traditional leaders and Muslim chiefs from Kpassa, led by Nana Ayire , has paid a courtesy call on the Oti Regional Minister, Mr. John Kwadwo Gyapong.
The chiefs expressed concerns about the development needs of Kpassa and demanded that the government prioritize the area’s needs.
The chief’s demanded improved infrastructure, including the rehabilitation of the Nkwanta to Damanko roads, an enabling environment for farmers to expand their farms and increase productivity.
Nana Ayire stressed the importance of unity among chiefs to sustain peace in the Oti Region, noting that peace was essential for development.
Mr Gyapong assured the chiefs that his administration was committed to addressing the development needs of Kpassa, and the entire region.
The Minister has also assured the Kpassa chiefs that the government was committed to completing the Eastern Corridor road, a key infrastructure project that will benefit residents in Kpassa and beyond.
He acknowledged the pressing issues affecting residents in Kpassa and promised the chiefs that the government was working to address them.
