Adidome (V/R), May. 05, GNA – Mr. Dodzi Addison Mornyuie, the Central Tongu District Chief Executive (DCE), has announced plans to procure a new vehicle for the police in the district to enhance their operational efficiency.
Speaking with the Ghana News Agency in Adidome, Mr. Mornyuie revealed that the current police vehicle is out of commission, and had been hindering effective policing in the area.
Mr. Mornyuie mentioned that the lack of a functional vehicle had significantly impacted the police’s ability to respond promptly to emergencies and maintain law and order in the district.
The DCE stated that he was working closely with Mr Alexander Roosevelt Hotordze, the Member of Parliament of the Constituency to convene a meeting with the police to discuss the best approach to resolving the challenge and to bolster measures aimed at procuring the necessary resources for the police and the District Assembly.
“We are committed to supporting the police and ensuring they have the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively,” Mr. Mornyuie said.
He added that numerous institutions within the district were facing operational challenges due to a lack of desktop computers.
This, he noted, had affected the efficiency of various departments and institutions in the district.
The DCE pledged to engage organizations and individuals to solicit support.
“We will reach out to the government institutions, organizations and philanthropists to provide desktop computers and other essential items to support the operations of institutions in our dear district,” he said.
Mr. Mornyuie expressed optimism that with collective effort, they could bridge the gap and improve the overall functioning of the district.
