Assin Sibinso (C/R), May 09, GNA- The Assin Odumasi Restoration Child and Youth Development Center (AORCYDC) in collaboration with Compassion International has organised a career day for students to equip them to have discussions with experts related to their fields for the needed information.

The career day was on the theme: “My Career my future”.

According to Mr Isaac Nartey, Partnership Facilitator, the career day was aimed to inspire and guide the pupils in making informed decisions about their future dreams to navigate through the process to get to ultimate achievement.

In addition, he said it also exposed students to various preferred areas in a creative way, facilitate career counseling activities and provide opportunities for students to engage with professionals of their occupation.

This he noted could be attained if students were taught to exhibit traits of Jesus Christ in their daily lives to prevent corrupt practices, and study hard to attain careers they would love to do in future.

Rev John Evans Arthur, Pastor of the Assemblies of God church said the event was to inculcate the teachings of Jesus Christ in the students, while counseling them on their chosen careers.

He told parents and guardians to instil the fear of God which was the beginning of wisdom into their wards to do what was right in the sight of God to acquire knowledge to enable them to face challenges in the world.

Mr Asamoah Addo, Chairman of AORCYDC was of the view that the career day initiative demonstrated their commitment to supporting the growth and development of young people in their various communities.

By providing access to career guidance and mentorship, he noted that the center would help shape the next generation of leaders and professionals.
