Duayaw-Nkwanta (Ahafo), April 17, GNA – The Sunyani Methodist Diocese has honoured Mr Kwadwo Adjei-Darko, a former Member of Parliament (MP)and Minister of State erstwhile under former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s government .
Mr Adjei-Darko, a former MP for Sunyani West Constituency was honoured for his dedication and devotion to the church, its growth and development.
The Right Reverend Kwaku Effah, the Bishop of the Sunyani Methodist Diocese bestowed the honour on him during the 46th Annual Synod of the Diocese held at Duayaw-Nkwanta in the Ahafo Region and presented him with a citation and undisclosed sums of money.
He said the selflessness, kindness, and generosity of the former MP had been a beacon of hope and inspiration for many, saying his dedication to the church’s activities remained exceptional and exemplary.
Rev Effah stressed that his (Mr Adjei-Darko) tireless efforts in serving the community and unwavering commitment to the church’s mission remained unparalleled, saying that his recognition was not only to celebrate his dedication, but also inspire others too.
His humility and kindness have made a lasting impact on the church and the community, and his legacy continues to inspire and motivate others to make a positive impact in society, saying “that also serves as a reminder of the importance of serving others, and giving back to society”.
Rev Effah added that “Mr Adjei-Darko’s testament to the power of dedication, hard work, compassion and contributions to the church’s growth and development will undoubtedly continue to inspire and uplift other years to come”.
The Synod under the theme “Discipleship: Growing into Christian Maturity” took stock of the diocese’s achievement in previous years, looking forward to challenges in ensuing years and attended by diocesan executives, standing committees, synod members, ministers of God and their wives.
