Dambai (O/R), April 24, GNA – Mr. Sarfo Nketia, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi East Municipal Assembly, has paid a working visit to the waste management plant at Yariga No.2, a farming community in the municipality.
He expressed his administration’s loyalty to enforcing sanitation by-laws to improve waste management in the area.
The MCE emphasized the importance of proper waste disposal practices and pledged to strictly enforce sanitation bylaws to promote a cleaner and healthier environment.
He also highlighted the need for collaboration among stakeholders, including Zoomlion, a private waste management company, to implement an effective waste management system in the municipality.
Mr. Nketia noted that the bylaws will enforce every household to have access to waste bins to encourage organized waste disposal.
The MCE added that the enforcement of sanitation bylaws is expected to remarkably improve the situation in Krachi East, potentially making it a model for other municipalities.
The working visit by the MCE and his entourage demonstrated the Municipal Assembly’s allegiance to addressing sanitation challenges and improving the overall quality of life for residents.
