Good Friday: It is time to pause, reflect and renew our faith – MCE

By Agbaxode Emmanuel

Akatsi (VR), April 18, GNA—Mr. Daniel Dagba, the Municipal Chief Executive for Akatsi South, has reminded Ghanaians to pause, reflect and renew their faith for a united community.

“It is a time to pause, reflect, and renew our faith, not just in our religious beliefs, but also in our shared humanity and commitment to building a stronger, united community,” he said.

Mr. Dagba made the call in a goodwill message contained in a statement released on Good Friday, April 18, 2025.

Mr. Dagba pointed out that, “Good Friday reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice of love, humility, and compassion demonstrated by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

“As we commemorate this day, let us embrace the values of peace, forgiveness, and selflessness.”

Mr. Dagba further indicated that the sacrifice of Christ must inspire all to extend a helping hand to the needy, bring hope to the brokenhearted, and sow seeds of unity in all spheres of society.

“Let us continue to work together as one people with a shared purpose, to develop Akatsi South into a place of progress, opportunity, and peace for all,” he said.

Mr Dagba believed also that “Good Friday” would bring all closer to their loved ones and God.

“May it mark the beginning of renewed hope and blessings in every home,” he prayed.

Christians all over the world are celebrating the religious festival that marked the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Several communities in Akatsi South have planned activities to mark the season.
