Ho, April 21, GNA – Mr. Samuel Yao Atidzah, Executive Director of GOSANET Foundation, Monday said Easter presented an opportunity for the youth to realign with values that would build a character for a brighter future.
“Let the resurrection of Jesus Christ inspire a new life within us, one that uplifts, transforms and honours our God-given potentials,” he stated.
Mr. Atidzah gave the advice in an Easter Message copied to the Ghana News Agency, in Ho.
He advised the youth to embrace positive lifestyles, seek education and pursue their dreams with discipline.
Mr. Atidzah urged them to rise above the growing tide of sexual immorality, peer pressure and risky behaviours during the season.
He noted that these actions did not only endanger their health and future but also undermined their Christian and community values that were held in high esteem.
He reminded the youth that true strength lay in self-control and that dignity was preserved through wise choices.
The Executive Director stated that sexual immorality contributed to teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections including HIV and derailment of the dreams of most of the youth.
He told them that Easter was a season of sober reflection, renewal of hope and a new beginning.
Mr. Atidzah stated that it was also a reminder of the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ out of love for humanity and called on all to live a life of purpose, integrity and compassion.
He urged all to also chose the path of righteousness and discipline for positive transformation of their communities and the nation at large, adding, “together we can build a healthier and more hopeful future for all.”
He intimated that his Foundation was committed to promoting health and education in communities in the Volta Region.
Mr. Atidzah said the foundation was also working to support initiatives that empowered the youth with knowledge, mentorship and access to reproductive health services.
Whilst wishing Ghanaians a happy Easter, he entreated all, especially Christians, to reflect the love of Christ in their communities by visiting and donating to the marginalised and the poor.
