Kumasi, April 09, GNA – The Suame District Court in Kumasi, has remanded seven military officers into the custody of the Military Police, for conspiracy to commit crime and murder
The officers are said to have arrested and assaulted three civilians for allegedly stealing an iPhone belonging to another civilian, at Asafo in Kumasi.
The brutal assault tragically resulted in the death of two of the victims, Kwame Adu, alias Ogee, and Kwabena Sarfo.
The third victim, Christian Obiri Yeboah, is in critical condition and receiving treatment at a hospital.
The officers would reappear before the court on April 22, 2025.
The Police Prosecution said the officers arrested the victims on March 28, 2025, and subsequently took them to the 4th Infantry Battalion barracks and detained them.
The bodies of Kwame Adu, and Kwabena Sarfo, were later discovered in a secluded area at Danyame, a suburb of Kumasi.

The Prosecution said the Suame Division Command received information that two lifeless bodies of unidentified young men were lying in a spot at Danyame.
The police proceeded to the location and picked the bodies and deposited them at a morgue at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
The relatives of Kwame Adu and Kwabena Sarfo, who had already lodged a complaint with the police about the missing of the two, went to the morgue with the police and identified them as their relatives.
The Prosecution said Christian Obiri Yeboah, who was also found unconscious in the same area where the bodies were found, later told the police that, the soldiers, after taken them to the barracks, subjected them to brutal assault and that resulted in the death of the two.
Police prosecutors pleaded with the court to remand them in prison custody, while investigations continue, but their lawyers argued otherwise, insisting that they should be remanded in the custody of the Military Police.
